Hello to this AA Community. My name is Darcey and I am an alcoholic.
I was told very early in sobriety, and pointed to a place in our literature, where it says that some issues can not be helped within the confines of the program, that we need to seek outside help. Which I have had to do. But now I have forgotten where it is written, to go back and read again.
Does anyone here know the book well enough to help me? I have read it many times, and looked over websites searching for the place, and I come up with nothing.....I really want to find this again.
Spent the last 45 minutes trying to find it myself, and I thought I knew the Book pretty well. Said several times, its right in here, no, then again. and so on......
But be assured that someone will, and and will give you the answer you need, and the page number.
Good to see you here, have you been here before, and how about staying for a while so we can get to know you some.
If later on today I see that there is no response, I will try again. Happy to help. I was just like you, I needed outside help too, so I do where you are coming from.
Toodles, Toni

Thank you Toni. I thought I would find it no problem too......but no. I have a cake coming up - 10 years - and I have had to get lots of outside help. I was told by the oldtimer many years ago that it says in our literature that AA can't solve EVERYTHING and that we would need it.....but now when I want to pass on to the newcomer what I was told, I can't find it. I hope to run into that oldtimer again really soon and will ask him. But until then will hope for an answer here.
I have never been here before - no - but it was nice to find and I will stick around. Always looking for more fellowship from the program that saved my life, and that for the rest of my life I will continue to give back to.
Welcome to MIP, Darcey. I have seen it too. Great tip, Dean. I'll be having a look when I get home too lol Keep coming back, Darcey. It's good to have you here & I'll love to hear your ES&H on a few of our matters too. I love this A.A. Unity Community :) Goodluck in your search, Danielle x
