Hi Everyone, I haven't slept much since Mon. night.....too excited. My son, who is doing a tour in Iraq, gets 15 days of R and R....in the states!!! His plane was delayed Mon. (My heart sank.... wondering the reasons.) He emailed about 11 hrs. ago saying he was 'leaving on a jet plane......'. Now the question is....did he get out of Kuwait yet?? Is he in the states? Gonna be another night of restlessness.... but it is the good kind! It is hard to be patient. LOL Just want to wrap my arms about him. Thank God, my job has kept me occuppied during the day and planning a get togethor with a large family at nights. Anyway.....just wanted to share some good news. Wanda
My heart felt that note from you, as a Mother, never had to go through what has to be one of the toughest of all things to EVER go through, dealing with a child, well still a child to you, right, fighting in a War.
Hope your visit together is the Best of the Best, and Thank Him from me too, for his great courage.
Wanda, I cannot think of any better news to be shared!!!!!!!!! My God, how thrilled you must be!!! Those fellows and ladies over there deserve more love, hugs, adoration, pride, support than any group of people I can think of. Heroes, one and all.
I pray continuously that they can all come home soon, safe and sound. That families like yours can begin to rebuild a life where your loved ones are again ALWAYS within arms' reach. That this world will not find it necessary to get into such entanglements any more. Some may think it naive, but I don't. I keep up hope every single day for a safe peaceful world.
God bless your darling son, bless him with joy and happiness, health and love!!!!! Please let him know that we are all thinking of him, hugging him from afar, and thanking him for being the brave and wonderful young man that he is!!!!!!!!!
