Greeting fellow crew members.  I'm leaving for the NC Blueridge to work on my favorite house for a week.  My dial up service there is like watching paint dry.  I'll check in mid week somewhere.  Be good!   smile.gif

miracles never cease. my dial up is working pretty well this trip. Appalachain State University school year being over with may have something to do with it. smile.gif Thanks for the well wishes. My house and trailer survived another winter without many issues. My 32' travel triler, that I've spent over 500 nights in, is showing it's age.
This high altitude (4500' el.) high wind, rain/cloud forest climate, where we get quite a bit snow, is hard on buildings. My neighbors with wooden homes have all had to replace whole sides of their homes and roofs since Ive been here (10 years this year). I initially wanted to build a log home, but after seeing what this extreme weather environment did to homes I went for 100% stone exterior and a all copper roof. Must be that 66% Irish in me coming out smile.gif.

Last year we finally got drywall and paint done on all 3 floors and garage, now we are in the "trim stage". Lots to do and not so much money to work with this year as business is slow and I don't have a mortgage. Here's a link to
a few pictures if you're interested. None of this would be possible without the gifts of sobriety  from my HP. smile.gif

Yikes! That is quite the "house", lol. You are right about one thing, sobiety. One drink has the power of removing that fine dwelling from your life forever. Always a sobering reminder of what we are all up against. Keep fighting the good fight brother, you prove that it is indeed worth it!
