Hey everybody.

I'm kind of having a hard time today.  My Probation officer won't let me go to A.A. because I relapsed with someone from AA and today I'm going CRAZY!  I've been to online meetings but I really need to be able to connect with people face to face and talk to them.  I've been doing exactly what my sponsor says to do (for the most part) but I need to do more.  I don't feel like taking a drink today or anything.  It's just I feel like I'm not sober, just dry.  I've been snapping at people alot today, which I've apologized for already but I duno.  I guess I don't know where I'm going with this except to ask for a solution maybe?

Thanks.

Toni

Hey freind. I think your probation officer needs a good kick in the %$^&.

Can your sponsor talk to him or her, and straighten things out for you.?

I think its pretty damned sad when something like this happens. Let us know how you make out. It wouldnt take this kid long to make a phone call to whoever your probation officer is. I wouldnt even think twice about doing so, I dont care what part of the world youre in. My email is philipld@sympatico.ca  ----if I can help I will.

Keep your chin up kiddo.

hey, Phil is right and take his offer.

Why can't you go to certian meetings they don't do.  Your probation officer is obviously not very qualified.  can you switch officers?  maybe you need to show them the doctors opinion. can you go to his/her supervisor.  without hurting your position.  There is an answer talk to Phil on his e-mail and figure it out.

You take it easy and come here when ever you need to.  Hold tight (big hugs)

Having been on probation more than once I have some knowledge of probation officers and the system. Probation officers like any other official are humans. There are good ones and bad ones. They all have supervisors and in each system there is a chain of command. An appeal could be made to a supervisor. There are volunteer Lawyer projects probably everywhere if you cannot afford representation as well as different levels of state government that can be petitioned. I am not a lawyer but I have learned that when I do not like the decision of anyone in charge I can always go to the next highest level and bring my concern to them. If you had a court appointed lawyer that represented you at your adjutication you could call them as they most likely are still representing you in the event of issues while under the supervision of the Department of Corrections. The old saying, "knowledge is power" applies here I think. By asking questions of those in charge we find out what our options are. If we simply wring our hands we stay stuck. We can be either victims or victors. our choice.

I am not a lawyer. I am an accountant or, maybe as you may know it, a "CPA". My e-mail is

stancamden@yahoo.co.uk

you give me all the facts and the telephone numbers (dont forget to tell me which country and township) of the competent authorities and I will do my best to help.

Seems quite odd, as I know people who MUST go to AA meetings as part of their probation. Hang in there and take the offers these fine folks made here. I cant help much being in the program just a short time, but I'll pray your situation changes for you.

Good luck.
