Having one of thoes days. my husband is a trumpet player, he plays in this blues band. He and I are going on three years this year.  I went to one of his gigs last night and stayed up past 2a which is a big deal when you get used to 10p as a bed time.  I don't know how i used to do it.  I mean party and get up the next day and go to work.  ( not that i did that well, considering i am in AA. )  Heck I have the day off today and I am draging butt.

The clubs we go to when he plays are pretty mild where drinking is concerned. It is funny to see people have a personality change with a couple of drinks in them.  I really never noticed that because i was drinking at the time ..but it is funny.  luckily there aren't the slobbering drunks at these places.

I just have such a good time just living in the world sober. To not fear people, places and things.  To enjoy just listening to music and great friends and not even think about a drink...the promises are not a lie.  Life is pretty good today.

Good to see the new comers are staying sober and are really into this program and that truely is a great thing.  It gets better and better and all you have to do is stay sober one day at a time.  Nice to see such a wonderful group of women on the board, just another thing for me to be grateful for.

Well you all have a good evening.  I will be cooking diner and going to a meeting, and that is what i call living today.  Good night and God bless

to the new comers- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Hi Ellen, I'm with you it is so much more enjoyabe to do things sober, it takes awhile to get use to it though. I was a hostess at a baby shower today at my church and it was so much fun. Oh, and the baby was adorable...another little miracle. Makes me glad to be in the Gammy stage.

The program has certainly taught me to live life sober, to be grateful for every season of my journey.Have a great evening!

(((Hugs)))
