I had been abnormally fearful. It mattered little whether I sat on the shore of life drinking myself into forgetfulness
or plunged in recklessly and willfully beyond my depth and ability. The result was the same -- I had nearly perished in a sea of alcohol. But today, these distorted drives have been restored to something like their true purpose and direction.

Thought to Ponder . . .
The power within me is far greater than any fear before me.
F%&^$ Everything And Run is another acronym that we hear too. The "fight or flight" reaction we have leaves a lot to b desired. How about the option to take a breath, assess a situation rationally and then act. I know with me, the times that I feel fear are usually just the way I perceive a situation, usually determined by the mood I am in. This indicates to me that I actually have a choice in the matter. More times than not, the fear is an illusion, whew!!
