Thankyou, Joni! I replied to your other mention of Yoga if you've noticed yet? I feel exactly the same way about this restorative & rejuvenating activity. Tis deeply & satisfyingly spiritual & it brings a lot up for me like how I breathe & how I need to relax & try harder at the same time. It teaches me so much more than simply postures, bending & stretching. It's about internal & external strength, flexibility & balance. It teaches me about my attitude & approach in life & helps me to adjust in my weaknesses & work from my strengths too. I'm truly grateful for it & how my teachers takes care of us as we're learning & growing.

I was a little disheartened for a moment in tonight's class as I felt my ability was limited so couln't extend myself to the fullest in what we were doing but then the next minute I went up & nearly held a head stand on my own! That was Amazing & I was so impressed that I've been improving when I felt I couldn't see that for awhile. I'm going to a Beginners Workshop for the day at the end of this month & so looking forward to it. This is all Recovery & how to live 1Day@aTime having faith that all of these efforts accumulate & add up to a fruitful, healthy & happy life. I feel Gr8 today. Thankyou for being here to share it with, All@MIP :) Thankyou for helping me stay sober today. God bless you, Joni. Keep us posted on your practice ;) Happy Serenity Day! Danielle xxx

I've also recently taken it up! Good life lessons, along with good exercise. I found I was really frustrated at first because I couldn't do it all straight away, ha ha. Patience!

definitely patience!! The instructor on my dvd keeps mentioning how we need to listen to our bodies though, and respect them. Be gentle with it. Ihave to admit that when I light up a cigarette a while afterward, I feel like, "what do I really need this for? Is this respect?" One day at a time though, and one step at a time.

I am feeling a good mild burn in the back between the shoulder blades, no doubt from strengthening my posture lately. It is a good feeling, not pain. Just a feeling of knowing when your muscles are starting to rebuild. There is so much calisthenic muscle building about this too! I just cannot wait until someday I am as flexible as a ballerina! LOL

A friend at work has been teaching yoga and aerobics since highschool, an she is great to talk to about postures and benefits.

I would like to do a live class sometime soon, but for now the dvd is good enough, and starting me off quite well. Will let you guys know when I take it out into the world with me and to a f2f class.

Have a relaxing evening, and enjoy!!

Love,
Joni
