Well with all the compaining I had done in the recent past, my Al-Anon aunt's (a.k.a."moms") coming open heart surgery sure has put things into perspective. There are far more important things in life than worrying about aesthetics around the house.

I have a strained back muscle right now, so going to leave the cleaning and rest for the rest of the day. My bosses are very supportive, and gave me a couple of days off this week to be there at the hospital. Thing about it now, is that all my work will be waiting for me there when I return. (LOL) But I have a lot to be grateful for. And i have confidence that her surgery will go well, as she is otherwise very healthy, with a good strong heart (she is getting a congenitally bad valve replaced).

I need a meeting this week in the midst of all this, so I will make the time no matter what else comes my way. I need the support of AA to handle the burning of my candle at both ends... well, let's just say the whole candle will be on fire!!!

Thanks for all your love, prayers and support. It is time to get horizontal now and rest these bakc muscles so I can function to capacity this week.

Will keep you posted.

Joni

Thanks for the update joni (((hugs)))  Take it easy, your aunt will be needing you more after her surgery than before, but you know that.  I guess what I'm trying to suggest is to make sure joni's getting what she needs right now (spiritually).

I'll keep you all in my prayers  Prayer

Hang in there Joni.
Usually the way that I strain my back is by lifting and turning around at the same time (Not good). Ice for a couple days with ibuprofin and heat later. smile.gif

Thanks! And you are so right about ice, Dean. Started with heat, and then remembered that heat is not good for inflammation. Feeling much better very quickly, thanks to some R&R. Onward with the week.

Thanks for the hugs and prayers.

Joni
