Welcome denny.

Ask a lot of questions. Here's a link to the "Big Book" of AA. The answers are in there and at the meetings. smile.gif http://www.aa.org/bigbookonline/

denny, sadly we don't have very good support for online meetings here. It hit or miss at best. You were probably in there just fine, but were the only one in there. The NA site, of this board, has regular meetings, if that's part of your story. There are other site on the net that have regularly attended meetings.
But nothing can replace face to face local meetings for you. If you're new, please search google for your local meetings, or call the number in your phone book white pages and ask for a meeting schedule to be mailed to you. The local intergroup office with also offer for AA member to take you to a couple meetings, so that you won't have to go alone. Not that that's a problem, the meetings are very warm and welcoming. Just indentify yourself as a newcomer, when the leader of the meeting asks the group.
