I've poped on here and there but been busy with work and meetings. In spite of myself I've acquired 126.. 24 hour days. I don't say the in spite of myself lightly. My thinker is broken but on the mend. Hope the holiday season is going well with you all,,Hugs brothers and sisters.

Welcome back to MIP, David! It's so nice that you've been coming back, posting & sharing some with us. I've been coming here since early 07 so that must be nearly 2yrs! Time flies 1Day@aTime lol I see you joined around then too. Posting the 24 & Reflections keeps my commitment here like serving at a home group & I love that it keeps me plugged in & feeling useful. Even though they're not read often by others the important thing is that it's keeping ME sober & I love that each time I post them I understand their messages a little deeper each time.

I was first given the 24 hour book when I was new in by a fellow member & I remember I couldn't understand the meditation & prayer sections. My head was full of old ideas, ignorance & arrogance though that has changed as I've 'gradually' let go lol AA gives me its wisdom & it's this that helps me to understand my experiences as an Alcoholic & I'm grateful to be able to share this with others & be helped repeatedly too. 'We will not regret the past, nor wish to shut the door on it, we will see how our experience can benefit others'. Cool Promises!

I'm still very much a Newcomer with 2yrs 2mths sobriety by the Grace of God. I haven't 'completed' a full first run of all 12Steps but I'm close to working out alot of my amends & moving towards a daily discipline of 10 & 11 which I seem to only do every 3 days at the moment.. Progress not perfection, eh lol I like a slow yet steady recovery & being able to move at 'my own pace' though I have to say I do suffer for this lack of discipline at times. I'm working on it in consideration of my own limits, some of which is self wil, some defects & some a lack of but ever growing ability. I am doing my best though & I'm glad God can work with that ;)

Keep coming back, Buckeye. Well Done in your 126days! I'm glad you're here :) Danielle x

Hi David,

Welcome back! It's good to see you posting again.

Congrats on 126 days! That's great. It's amazing what we can achieve just one day at a time.

Please keep posting and letting us know how things are going for you, won't you?

Take care,

Carol
