I am so grateful to finally be able to post on this site. I have been reading the messages and posts from some of you for about a month now. It has been a struggle and today I have 72 days. In my fellowship, that means I have a pinkchip that will turn red on day 90 God willing. This 72 days has been a period of great turbulence, but also tremendous growth. Not going to get too much into my story. I just wanted to say hi and that I look forward to being part of this forum and gaining wisdom and possibly giving back some of what has been given to me from reading the wise posts of others. I have really enjoyed the posts on the Language of Letting Go....and basically hearing about how some of you people with time get through life without drinking. Thanks.

Thanks guys. They say AA is not for wimps. I knew coming in that I had nothing, there were people in the rooms that had what I wanted (in a healthy way) and that I would have to do work to get it. When I wrote that things had been turbulent, I need to clarify that they have also been wonderful. A new way of life has been shown to me and I pray to stick with it. As they say in the meetings I go to "Keep coming back. It works if you work it. So work it. You're worth it." And hence, that's my tag line.

Welcome to MIP, Mark! 90 in 90, hey.. That's Awesome. I tried that but work got in the way so if you're able to do it that's an achievement already & you're giving yourself a great opportunity to learn so much about Alcoholism & how to Live Sober whilst making new friends. There's lots of literature to get into & that helped me ALOT in my early days & still does Today, particularly the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous & the 'Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions.
When you get your new chip will you change your nickname? ;) Goodluck & Godbless, Danielle x
