SNOW and DESTRUCTION here at home

Not THAT kind of destruction.... lol the kind where you get something torn down. An old garage at my house that was in horrible shape, they finally came today to tear the thing down. Good riddance!! What an eye sore!! Thing is, the nincompoops put the construction container on my NEIGHBOR'S LAWN!!!!!! ACK!!!!!! They just got it leveled and re-seeded last year. There goes the wallet.

:o(

Here are pics of my drive to work this morning as well. Like a winter wonderland. But a 15 minute drive took 50 minutes, becasue people who live here act like they have never driven in snow before, even though we get 5 friggin' months every year to practice!!! UGH!!

Enjoy....

Hun, you should try living in the south! If the words "snow" or "ice" is even mentioned the schools close down, and good luck finding bread, milk, batteries and bottled water! They nuts empty the shelves.

Glad you've made progress on that old eye sore. That's a good feeling. A feeling of accomplishment. I had to stop remodeling in the middle due to health, but looking real forward to finishing up..........

Wow!!! I see from CNN that the snow has been flying in lots of places so far. Luckily we have been spared (so far). I'd take the 77 degrees like Dean is getting any day!!!!

Twice in the past 24 hours I have cleared a foot of snow from my car. It is in the 20's this morning. We are to get snow through Fri, then cold and sunny this weekend, then more snow next week. It is really early for us to get this kind of weather.

Lani, we get a lot of lake-effect from Lake Erie here, and we are in the snow belt. Everything from Canada dumps on us. Dang Canadians!! (Phil, are you listening?)

I have had to fight with the Jaguar every morning to get the door latches unfrozen and get in the thing. I am putting it up this evening, and taking the old Honda to work all winter. Reliability is key here...... LOL

Dean you did not get to see our new car.... well, we did not get it til you left town.

:o)

It isn't cold in Scotland (mid 40s today), but we're forecast snow and ice for the week-end.

Fewer people come to meetings when it gets really cold, and tonight Scotland are playing Argentina at football (soccer) Although it's live at night, haven't people heard of recorders? lol G.B. Richard

HUBBY will not be building anything.... even though he used to build for a living. ARGH. We will get a garage put up next year. Til then, I will be outside in my muckers shoveling snow off everything all winter. grump grump.
Just feeling really fortunate to have a home, a job that is not going to be outsourced ever, and my precious recovery. How grateful am I??? VERY.

Dean, I bet you could put me up a garage in what.... one day???? Hmmmmm....... you sure seem pretty handy....
