His name was D-----. He was really struggling with staying sober. He was doing what his sponsor suggested and was in the process of 90 in 90 when he was found Sunday night in home - he'd hung himself.
Just proves, again, that alcoholism WILL kill us! In one way or another. I'm so sad for this man, his family and those of us who'd grown to love him but I am also so grateful to be sober today.
(((hugs))

Real sad news. I have felt really really low when in recovery too, and I feel for this poor man. I need all the help I can get, from AA FIRST, and then from there, wherever my HP leads me.
I hope the sadness lifts soon for you, and that this man is in a happier place now.

Hi Jen, For some of us this hits home. It will be one year in Dec that my AH's nephew did the same. Alcohol played a factor that led up to this. I was very fond of this young man. The pain in the heart may not be as raw....it will always be there none the less!!!! And like Sick of Being Sick......God only knows how much this disease is hated!!!! My thoughts and above all prayers for his family. Wanda
