I have a very large purse, and I am going to share a little and in the process, WHACK myself upside the head for a moment.
I saw this meditation subject in an email I got today, and thought it might apply to some others, as I know it sure does apply to me. (Paraphrased for AA appropriateness.....)
Do It Now!
If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.

Most of us have experienced the 8 Phases of Procrastination:
Phase 1: Hopeful Ill start early this time.
Phase 2: A little tension Ive got to start soon.
Phase 3: Creeping guilt I should have started sooner.
Phase 4: False reassurance There is still time to do it.
Phase 5: Getting desperate Whats wrong with me?
Phase 6: Intense pain I cant wait any longer!
Phase 7: Get it over with Just get it done!
Phase 8: Cycle repeats Next time, Ill start earlier.
Procrastination does tremendous damage to ourselves and others. It causes unnecessary pressure and problems and it wastes opportunities, time, and money.
The problem is: procrastination is addicting! The more you succumb to it, the harder it is to change. It becomes a way of life, causing you a lot of misery.
Stop making excuses!
· Realize perfectionism paralyzes performance!
· Face your fears!
· Focus on the gain, not the pain!
· DO IT NOW!
What have you been putting off that you know you need to do? something at work at home at meetings? DO IT NOW!
Prayer: God, help me to DO what I already know I need to do. Help me to do it NOW!

LOL...imagine my luck... just after I wrote this, my husband called proclaiming that the couple we are going to dinner with tonight were invited by HIM to come over to our house first, at 6!!!!!!!! This left me just a few hours to do a whole weekends' worth of work!! LOL...... sheesh!! HUSBANDS,,,,, LOL
SO...... God gave me just what I needed, a good kick in the rear,. and nothing like COMPANY COMING to get one's ass in gear.... LOL
I can at leats now sit around tomorrow and enjoy one day of peace this weekend, and with nothing hanging ovr my head for the week ahead. Going to a meetin' too!!
