11 Weeks! Never would have thought I would make it this long.

The first week was hell. The first month was much easier, but other areas of my life-ok just work, started turning BAD. I'm sure you guys watch the news, economy, but the market especially for me.

I had an urge to down a 5th of Jack just to calm down cause it was really bad.

Things still aren't great, but right now, I feel like alcohol is not an option, not a part of my life anymore. I messed around with coke in my early 20's, havent touched that since feb 2006. That I will never touch ever again, even though I'm around it alot.

Now I got a much better job offer which I start on the 27th, I'm working on a real estate deal, things are going great! For now.... I guess personality wise, I always feel that impending cloud of doom over my head, no matter how well things are going. But I will never touch a drink again.

Thanks for letting me rant, hope everyone is well (Rosie and Quetzal, my girls!)

Shoot- I've had that thought about a million times (this week!)

Life sucks at times, but it would suck even more if I were drinking.

Hang in there TysonMike.

Hi You beautiful dear man. I needed to see your post so much tonight. Congratulations and I am so happy to see how well you are doing and that you are determined. I have not been doing so well but I have great hope right now and thought I would check out the board and to see your post gives me such a wonderful feeling for you and your sentiments toward Quetzel and I are so heartwarming.

God is good sweet man. Keep up the great work and know you are loved. God bless Love Rosie

11 weeks, new job.  Things seem to be picking up for you.

Congratulations.

Drinking is not an option.
Now there's a phrase that has been a part of me for many a year now.
It's great when it become an automatic response.

Have a GREAT sober day, you've done the trip to deserve it.
