I wanted to thank everyone for their great advice on how to choose a sponsor. I finally got up the courage to ask someone at the women's meeting I attend last night, even though she is younger than me and I felt a little weird. I have noticed over these several weeks that she always has strong, calm responses in discussion and she has been sober a long time. Thanks again! I'll let you know how it goes!

Way to go! I hope you build a long lasting relationship with your new sponsor!!!! It seems strange at first to share or trust this new relationship but Im sure she will guide you down the right path!

Awesome feeling I bet. Sponsors are so important (prolly why you hear about that so often in meetings). I like a sponsor to tell me what I need to hear, rather than what I want to hear. This guy needs a kick in the butt more often than not! Yours sounds great...enjoy!
