Developing spiritually

We read in the Big Book that no human power could have relieved our addiction -- not ourselves, our spouse, the law, clergy, counselors, or friends. Through trial and error and many failures, we come to know that another human being is not the way. To recover, we need a spiritual program based on a power greater than ourselves.

To recover, we need a spiritual life, as developed by the fellowship and the Twelve Steps.

Am I growing spiritually?

Higher Power, help me to see the
importance of developing a spiritual life.

Hey Rick,

This Hazelden quote brings me back to the balancing point of the Program. Everything rests on the ability to accept and connect with a HP. The human side is good too. There are spiritually centered people who help me in this dimension. I pray there will be more humanity in my spiritual existence.

Blessings, JV.
