Hi All, Today is day 7! I feel so much stronger and grateful.
I went over to my sons to take care of my grand children and we all played outside from about 1 to 4. If it hadn't thundered and got dark we would have stayed out a lot longer. I took a lot of photos and had a blast!!!
I set up a good size pool for them that they loved and could dive into. I put it in the play yard I built for them last summer. It is a real nice play yard with two swing sets and all kinds of toys and a nice sandbox.
I took a lot of photos. We all went inside and they showered and had some snacks and ate all of their supper. Water will do that and swimming. My daugther in law finished the budget stuff and put it all in labeled folders and I made a template to show her how to keep track of her budget.
My oldest son cut some carpet strips for me and then he and my oldest granddaughter went to Ty Kwon Do. I am going to go watch my youngest granddaugter test tomorrow night.
I had read something Quetzel put up today about taking the moments and coming home to ourselves and it helped me all day to enjoy everything and will continue to help me as I sober up.
I feel so much stronger than I have for years. I appreciate this forum and all of you so much. I plan to do more for my sobriety. I do not want to lose anything I have gained this week and feel very hopeful.
I had no desire to drink all week at all. The habits were there for a couple of days but I changed my routine and it helped to change my thinking toward alcohol and wanting to drink.
I am tired tonight but I wanted to let you all know I feel blessed. Take care Rosie
Hi All, Thank you so much for your support. It means a lot. Another day of living and loving life. I am going to my oldest sons today to work in the yard. My oldest son has today off and my daughter in law is starting back to work at the school she works for and the kids are going to day care all day and my oldest granddaughter has orientation for the middle school she is starting.
So that will be nice to have the day with my son. I had the day yesterday with my grand kids and my daughter in law so I am getting a nice treat here for two day. My middle son lives beside my oldest so I will see him also again today.
My youngest was home last night and when we ordered his books for college we had a nice talk and a lot of love. He is gone to pick blackberries with his girlfriend today.
I thank God for being sober. Thank you all for your support. Rosie
