PEOPLE SUCCCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate nit-picky A-HOLES!!!!!  There always seems to be one person at EVERY JOB thatalways has to be "right", and tell everyone else when theyare NOT right, even when they have no authority to do so.

GGGGggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Can't even go into it. But I hate PEOPLE, in general. Especially certain types of earth-people. I guess I am lucky I am an imperfect alcoholic, and I KNOW it. No wonder I spend so much time with my dog. HUMAN BEINGS, for the most part, SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK.... thought about drinking over the stress of today. NOT a good idea, and will abstain. I am thankful I could come here and read all the great post by newbies here, and get some other things and people to focus on. I know that whatever I focus on gets bigger. If I focus on my problem, it gets bigger and I drink. If I focus on recovery, my recovery grows stronger, and I need all the strength I can get right now!!!!!

Hi Joni.  I take it work was pretty tough?    Having feelings, anger, sorrow, etc... doesn't feel too good at times, but today we can feel things and move on past them without picking up a drink or a drug.  I'm glad you're doing that.

Means we have a chance at a better tomorrow in spite of what ever's going on.

Know you are loved.
BIG Hugs,
Stephanie

hey Joni,

don't let 'em get to you and ruin your day. It's your power, don't give to them. what's the old saying? "don't let them leave rent free in your head"

funny how a little courage can turn things around.... I HAD to get some things off my chest, and emailed the HR person tonight, intending for her to get it next week.

HR lady called me TONIGHT, and I am NOT the only person having trouble with said other person. I am not alone in my problem, and the said other person is trying to exert herself as management, without the proper management skills, nor authority. Three independent people with similar private complaints constitutes a PROBLEM.

HA!!!!

It is all going to be addressed next week.

AA has helped me to not be afraid that SOME of my "stuff" is legitimate, and that I am WORTHY today to talk about employee issues, especially ones that compromise my ability to do the great job that I AM capable of doing today. No one has laughed at me, or considered my complaints petty or ill-thought, or as having had an ulterior motive. It is great to be sober, and to be RESPONSIBLE for myself as a working adult!!!!

Yep. People do succccckkkkkk! I'm so proud you didn't drink, that you opened up your AA tool box instead. I learn so much from you, joni.

I work with some folks that reaaaaaallllllyyyyyy suuuuucccckkkk too. They're big old bullys and might not be alcoholics, but DAMN! they sure do need a friggin 12 step program. I'm beginning to be able to look at them as 'sick' also, like the BB talks about. Which means I've added one more tool to my box.......Awesome how things are revealed when we're ready and parts of the program start to 'sink in' when it's time. AA works if I work it.

You hang tough, my friend. Tomorrow is another day.

Love you!

~ Jen

Thanks guys and gallies, for the love. Yup, serenity prayer, keeping my power (in God's hands, not people's), and now I will get a good night's sleep..... which is for me, SLEEEPPPP... recovery 101 stuff. Have to keep going back to it, never graduate.....

Hi Joni, I am a bit rusty back into sobriety but I had read somewhere that we have to pray for those people who suck instead of allowing them to get to us and ruin our peace.

I know when you are working with people on a daily basis that it is harder to think of doing that but I do not see where those people would be any different then others that you may come in contact with and those people may need your prayers more than others.

And to hec with them YOU may need those prayers more for the peace you deserve. Change your thinking and you can change the things around you. And never problems without gifts.

It is nice to stand up and be counted like you have and the gift you have of being sober when the lady called is wondeful amongst the problems you had been having.

Take care and enjoy! Rosie

Hi Joni Girl!
Yea for you! You handled everything beautifully, and most importantly, didnt drink! Are these assholes in life really worth our sobriety, serenity!!! I think not!!!
Im still praying for the bitch, oops, not nice, the girl I used to work with!!!! After 9 months she still gets to me but honestly havent prayed like it has been suggessted for what, 2 weeks!!!

So good reminder that if I want it to work, need to take the others suggestions.

Yea its the weekend, this gal you work with will get a little eye opener and hopefully things will be better monday!!!!!
