3 days shy of mine and John's 5 yr 'commitment' I told him today to go blow it out his ass! Not literally but I let him know I am no longer his doormat.

Today was the straw that broke the camel's back!

God has a bigger better plan for my life and now I can get out of His way and let it happen.

Just wanted to share with all of you who've been here for my whining and moaning about my relationship and say thank you all for being here now for me to share my big step  with you.

Sobriety ROCKS!

Thanks, all. Means a lot to have support in such a major life changing action. I feel a bit sad, but more relieved than anything, at this moment. Our relationship has been such a weight around my neck for quite some time now......HP has been tapping me on the shoulder for a while saying it's time to stop, yesterday's event was HP's 2x4 upside my head. Guess that's what it take's for this alcoholic.

I feel good about my decision and am preparing for the grieving process.......Keep me in your thoughts that I'll get to stage 5 quick!

(((hugs)))

Good morning Jennifer,

You will stay in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this.

I hope you write down the things that happened vividly and each time you might think of reconsidering, re-read it.  I'm not saying don't forgive, but to forgive you don't have to put your neck on the chopping block, right?

Unless you choose to.

Meanwhile, know you are loved.

Love & Hugs,
Stephanie

Hi Jen
What a giant step you took and Im proud of you. It takes a lot of guts to let go and move on!!
I know the promises will come true for you and life will be so much simpler and happier for you!
Allow yourself to grieve but know theres is plenty of great things to come your way!

The toughest part is yet to come.  It is when he calls or comes by and says, "Honey your were right, and I want us to get back together."  And what he really wants is for things to go back the way he had them when he did not have to commit for the past 5 years.

Please have this tape ready for him when he does.

wink
The key lines are:

Now baby, baby, baby why you wanna treat me this way?
You know I'm still your loverboy I still feel the same way.
That's when she told me the story 'bout free milk and a cow.
She says "No huggy, no kissy till I get a weddin' vow.

My honey, my baby dont't keep my love upon no shelf.
She says "Don't give me no lines and keep your hands to yourself.

He called last night. I didn't answer the phone (love caller ID). Left a msg saying he thought we could chat and wow he had a signal way out there in BFE (funny, he never was able to get that signal before). Then he called the cell. Then 20 mins later he called the house again (no msg this one.)  It's too new and I am too vulnurable and I would certainly listen to his 'reasons/excuses' and things would be just as they were for the last 5 yrs.  So, Dan, you hit the nail on the head......

Love the GA Satellites!

"...been there, done that, I ain't lookin' back" Bon Jovi

"That's it! (That's all!) We had fun!
(We had a ball!)
It was good while it lasted--
But now I'm past it
(It was sure!) It was sweet!
Sure you swept me off my feet
I miss you now and then,
But would I do it all again--NAH--" Shania Twain
