Wow, what a road to be back in AA! This is where I started a long time ago, but lost my way. I've been hurting, and I needed to come out and say that I am an alcoholic. I drink and it hurts me in every way. I go into denial, and it takes sometimes earth shaking wake up calls to get through to me. I am lonely, geographically isolated. There are no meetings where I am, at all. So I have learned to depend on online recovery and it really works for me. I find myself redefining my whole life, but what I need is this day, by the grace of my higher power. It is good to be home. Thanks for listening to my share.
Thanks for sharing. I know what you mean about earth shaking wake up calls. I needed to go through a lot of them before I finally got back on the road of sobriety. But, it's worth it.
I'm glad that online recovery works for you. Try the meetings here on MIP. Because of the time difference (I live in UK) I rarely get to one, but I'm sure other folk here will be attending them, too.
Take care,
Carol

Welcome to MIP, Marcus. I hope you come back & allow here to supplement your recovery too. Along with meetings, fellowship, AA literature & staying away from the first drink 1Day@aTime it's a great tool to pick up any time of the day to post your thoughts & have feedback too. Your willingness to surrender your oldhabit helps us too. Keep coming back & practicing to the best of your ability! I'm 21mths sober. Dean has 19yrs 07.25.08. It works when you work it ;) Godbless, Daniella x
