Hi all... My vacation is going fabulously and Ive had such a ball! FINALLY, did my 4th and 5th step!!!!!!!! It went great and I feel sooo much better having done it! Put it off, made excuses and the time was finally right and its done for today!!!!!
Had a few new AA friends over for a cookout and we had fun eating, laughing and playing corn hole!!! Our neighbors (who we always partied with) were probably wondering how in the world we had so much fun sober!!! My hubby and I are going on a canoe trip in two weeks with a huge AA group and that should be fun!
I am so thankful today to be sober and to finally reach out to others who are also in the program! Its so different getting to know people outside "the rooms" and know/discover they are just like me!!
Discovering there are so many activities to get involved with and to be with like minded people! We really do have a great time!!! And....I remember every moment of it, dont have a hang over and Im not going to be embarrassed the next time I see these people!!! Wow! What a relief!
So for all you new folks! Grab sobriety by the .......get involved , have fun....You'll find you are not so all alone!!!
Love ya's

Sobriety is wonderful. I am just so grateful that I have been given the chance to enjoy another sober day. Thanks for reminding me how good it is now that I'm not drinking.
Take care,
Carol

For starter's, we all would have. Lani, I hope you enjoy your time in nature to see how god intended for us to see it. What a perfect place for you meditate. Stay in the front of the canoe, the rythym of your paddling will propel you up and out of the canoe if you want. Look for him on the face of the waters. Have a safe and good trip
