My sponsor took me to a motel room to do my fourth step. I thought this was unusual but being a newcomer I assumed this was standard protocol in A.A. Shortly after sharing some of my most personal experiences with this creep you would not believe some of the things that happened to me of which I am not going to elaborate right now because I want to contact responsible individuals that oversee the group I belonged to so I can warn A.A. members about this betrayer that I had for a sponsor. I now suspect that my sponsor invited somone to listen in on me sharing my fourth step while in the motel room but I did not see anyone else and that individual or individuals that were eavesdropping caused a lot of problems with my employer and other matters in my life. Laws were broken so it is imperative I contact the appropriate A.A. members that have some authority. I attended meetings at the Alano Club in Ontario, California but no longer live in California and I have learned that the club has since moved to Rancho Cucamonga. My former sponsor's name is Alfred M. I am asking for an appropriate email address or telephone number.
I think that you're talking about doing a 5th step. A 4th step is written before the 5th step is spoken. I've never heard of something like that happening. It's deffinately not common practice, recommended or anything like that. It is recommended that you chose a sponsor of the same sex though. Are you sure that someone (unintended) listened in to your 5th step? What's more common is for a person to leave their written 4th step journal somewhere where someone else has access to it and then they read it. That actually happed to me. My soon to be x-wife found mine (claimed that our 2 year old son pulled it out of a drawer) and read it. She then had the nerve to confront me about it. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened to you.
This board doesn't have an info on any other groups, such as contact info. The only thing that we occasional post is links to area AA meeting schedules.
Awful story and Im sorry you had such a bad experience. Dont give up though. There are many great people in AA and life that can be trusted! Just like life though, there are jerks out there who will take advantage of you!
Red flags should go up for any person that is taking you to a "hotel" room for something like this! A park would have been a better idea!!!

I ripped up my fourth step which I had written on notebook paper and flushed it down the toilet. My sponsor was a Hispanic and I was very reluctant to ask this man to be my sponsor because I did not feel comfortable with a interacial relationship but I quickly found out that he sponsored a lot of white guys so I figured why not. I will never make that mistake again. Cocaine had me by the gonads and I was desperate. This man just seemed to be a conveniant choice at the time. My former sponsor, Alfred M., was vey popular at the Alano Club and I believe he used his popularity to get away with things.
