Hello, Just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself. I'm 34 Male, self employed, living a life of hiding my pain with drinking. I realize it is no excuse, but I really need people to talk to that can relate. Want to get sober again.
Welcome to MIP! Glad to see you posting and reaching out! If you look at previous posts you may see what you like here and realize youre not alone! You said "again." Have you tried AA before? You'll see many have been here before and are giving AA a second chance. It can work and the pain can go away!!!!
Keep posting!

Hello, I'm Dan and I'm an alcoholic. Welcome to the MIP message board!
If you are new to AA, please feel free to ask questions. Lots of good people here with a lot of experience! If you are familiar with the AA program, you will find lots of others sharing their Experience, Strength & Hope.

Hi to all those that are new. I'm new, too. Still no where close to figuring things out...but working on it, sort of.
Hey BR, I'm a fellow Louisianian myself. Born and raised in the Kenner / N.O. area. Left for Atlanta at around age 30, trying to escape the influences. Seems the temptations are everywhere. Glad you're hear.

Lani - Thats my sobriety bday mixed with my birth year. Im paranoid about putting private info online especially when people use birthdays as security checks.
