Crossing Over? (Last post for a while I promise!)

This may not pertain to anybody at all.. Just wondering..

First off let me say.. I do not wish to recover from my ED at the moment.. so not pushiness ;x let me just whip jack daniel's butt first! haha.

But here's the question.. I have Anorexia Nervosa.. every once in a while.. I quit drinking for it.. to focus on being thin.. I last like what?? 4 days.. (Day four is my breakdown.. gaahhhh)

I either chose to starve to death or to drink to death.. even a lot of times I have a combo of both.. Well.. i used to binge eat when i was drunk.. but now when i drink my stomach and liver hurt way too bad to eat anything at ALL.. plus when I'm drinking I don't wanna eat as it takes away from the time I could be chugging alcohol in my mouth.. or I'll eat off my buzz..

But my question is.. anybody here ever had Anorexia and Alcoholism, too.. like me??

Please go see a doctor, I'm not in medicine but my gut tells me you are going to need to recover from both in order to truly feel better. Good luck

A lot of alcoholics are cross addicted or have other 'issues', it's not uncommon. There was a 41 yr old woman in my home group who had Anorexia, was alcoholic and a drug user. She died last summer.

Please seek out some professional help........

Howdy..Welcome to MIP

I wish you all the best..one day at a time..

A number of days ago..this kid came to a big Acceptance crossroad on life..and being one of those "My Way" alcoholics...tried every softer way..that there was, to make life better.  I assure you, that there were none.

So...

I guess the big question is...

Are you willing to go to any lengths to help get "You" better? :)

I used to phone the AA answering servive, in the area..and there were those that drove for miles...to make sure that I got to a meeting..

There were other times that I used to hitchhike...

It has been mentioned already...about doctor..and meetings..

All the rest of the sharing and questions..is pretty normal stuff, for a new recovering person..

Ride it out..another day..and reach out. Nothing happens if nothing happens.

Hey Krystal
How are you hanging in there? Day four is an awesome feat and you can do this one day at a time!
Re-reading all your posts and you have a lot of things going on!
Im no professional but...
You really need to see a doctor for starters.
If your liver is enlarged and you have a history of alcoholism and anorexia, your body has tons of damage done to it. Its great youre not drinking but you need to deal with your health issues too! It just might save your life!

Get to a least a meeting so perhaps you can meet some people who might be able to give you a ride. You can share the gas expense and it would be cheaper for all involved. The bus is even an option.

You'll be surprized at all the changes that will occur in your life once you start getting better. Maybe you'll even get the courage to get your drivers license! Dont know why you dont drive but I think of my 16 year old and how thats all she wanted when she turned 151/2.

So, get busy! The life you save may be your own!!!!!

Hey thank you for the support.. I'm not trying to sound rude or anything.. but I cannot afford to go to the doctor and I have no insurance or anything.. I have to wait until August when I get my disability checks and my Mediciaid. I don't know if you've ever experienced this or not.. but I'm living on 600 dollars a month. Why I do not drive? First off.. I have a very bad temper. Second off. I can't see good. Third off. I am legally disabled and have no chance of recovery from the time I was 11 years old. I am legally an adult child. THIRD OFF, I shake so bad I cannot even write anymore hardly. Funny thing is.. I find out my liver is enlarged by going to ER when I went into an alcohol related coma last year and they didn't do crap for me.. these doctors won't see me without insurance or anything. I'm starting to think they don't care.. =/ Wasn't trying to be rude.. just trying to explain this situation..

I don't know how to post links but you can cut and paste

http://aa.org/US_CtrOffice/tx.html

That is a list of AA central offices , phone numbers and web sites in texas the nearest office or intergroup should be able to get you a ride to a nearby meeting.

i also googled "texas free clinics" this was the first site.

Good luck I'm praying for you

Hey guys - just wanted to let ya'll know after getting on today and reading the posts - I decided to do what I've been considering - went to ER today.. doctor said that my liver was enlarged still. I have fatty liver disease, but he said he thinks I will be ok - no drinking and continue with milk thistle and vitamins.. said if pain gets worse - return to ER.

Thank you so much Bryan for going out of your way to help me.. Will check out the site and bookmark it

*hugs to all*

sorry if i came off bitchy.. just it's hard to explain my issues - being legally disabled and all that.. hopefully, more than likely by august I'll have more money - have my SSI check and be under care of a doctor all the time..
