I'm glad I found an online forum to share stories of alcoholism/recovery.

About me:

31, female, CA, USA, alcoholic with just under a month sober. I'm short on time, but I'll add or explain more later. I'm looking to make some new friends here..and learn, listen, share, vent, laugh with fellow alchies. PS. I'm in a rehab/recovery home so internet usage is limited.

Hi Amy and welcome.

We look forward to hearing more from you.
The best chance of making rehab work, is to stay with the meetings after you get out.  (And fill in with our little online group between meetings.)

Welcome to MIP, Amy.  I'm Chris, Older than dirt but not as old as Phil, from Washington State.

I went thru treatment also, twice. First time for drugs, two years later for alcohol. Stay around people who support you, lotsa meetings, and find another woman that you feel like you can identify with that has some sobriety? It'll really help with the transition. And there's always us here, too. Stay in touch!  Wren
