hello, my name is Samantha, i'm an alcoholic and a drug addict. i'm 21 yrs old and have been clean and sober a little over 4 months. i'm trying to get as big of a support group i can, so i thought i'd see what this forum is all about.
Hi Samantha and welcome to our group. Here is a good place to be, with some great people. The support I have recieved here since I gave up drinking has really helped, hope it can do the same for you! Keep on coming back, and let us know how you get on.

Hi Samantha. Its nice to meet you, and I too welcome you to our board.
I have a son in AA thats been sober for 2 months, thats 21 years old, and all I hear from him is how much money hes saving, and how good it feels to be away from all the bull crap party, so called freinds that he used to have. When he gave up the alcohol, all of them disappeared, so I guess all they were were drinking buddies, and not true freinds hu?
I found out the same thing when I gave it up also, one day at a time.
In our program and on our board here, you will find honest, true, understanding, and loving and caring people. We share our experience, strength and hope with each other, and learn to live a new way of living.
