Hi Serenity, I want to welcome you to the board and I'm sure others will be doing the same. I don't have a problem with socialization, but I have a had a problem with wanting to isolate, which is something I have had to reallly work on over the years.I have a lot of health problems and I sometimes just want to hibernate, mostly in the winter. But last night found me going to a meeting in 11 degree temps, and an ice storm. I'm glad I went, I needed it.

I'm glad you are here and I'm sure you will be an asset to this group, please share your esh with us.

(((Hugs)))

Hey Serenity!! And I welcome you to our site, as Gammy does, with open arms.

Dont know if I can fully identify with your Phobias, but I know I have had times in sobriety where, I felt very alone, even in a crowd. Low self confidence and self esteem didnt help that much either. And Fear? Well thats another story.:)

Anyway, please share with all of us here, as we will do with you, with understanding and love.

Gammy? How it going in your zoo? All the animals sleeping, and quiet?

Hi Serenity,I know where your coming from,I just moved to wisconson not too long ago,got my own place and now dont really know what to do.When I drank I drank alone most of the time, sobriety is no different.I've always had alot of social problems and right now im down to zero friends with only my brother and his family close to where I live.I start school next week and I dont know if I can do it,at work I just keep my head down and work, but if I want to change my life other then just staying sober I have to do this.I have the 12steps on my wall and I read certain things from the big book and others every morning and night, but this social thing is hell.I've been court ordered to go to AA a couple times in my life, which makes me want not want to go to meetings cause half the peeps just want to get there stuff signed and get the hell out of there, that was me,lol.Good luck to you,I'll say a prayer for you, your not alone Serenity.Al
