Refuse to do ANYTHING useful today. Love that concept.  Instead of obssessing about my home and laundry today, just gonna AA-up later, and vegetate. Will not remove pajamas today (until meeting time)!!!!!!  I have that right on occasion!!!

LOL... what are YOUR plans for this beautiful Sunday?

Nice. I like it. Also brings up an interesting idea....how about a pajama AA meeting?? Only requirement to attend is a desire to stop drinking, and to wear your pj's. ;)

Me, I'll be staying home, maybe going for a walk on this beautiful day, and paint the hallway. This painting thing is actually very comforting, as when I was drinking I really let our house go downhill.

So putting a fresh coat of paint on the walls is kind of like me being in recovery. smile

Where do you put the red ribbon Im wondering!!!

You know what stinks.....Doing the things around the house that have been neglected for so long and realizing just how many things were neglected!!! A bit "overwhelming" to use my husbands words!!!!! What the heck happened the last few years!!??? Scary!

Anyways! Got the kids shower fixed, a new faucet for their bathroom, fixed the leak in the kitchen sink only to realize we really need a new disposal!!!!!!! Planted flowers up the wahoo, almost done staining the deck, the weather isnt cooperating..... So today, staeks on the grill and stuffed mushrooms with crab!!!!! Making brunch now and just plan to eat my way through the day until its time to work tonight!!!!!!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!

Joni, send us a pic of you in your pjs!!! Then maybe Phil can send one with his ribbon!!! LOL

LOL... no pictures, especially of Phil only in a ribbon and hat!! Hahahaa

mnstar, your painting project sounds a lot like me. Check back a week ago and see the pictrues I posted here. I had done a redecorating project in my kitchen, whoch took about 3 weeks!! I painted all my cupboards and made knobs for them out of ceramic clay that you cure in the oven. What a job, but so happy with the results! Save for Botox, there is not much I can do right now on my own "outsides", so keeping my house up is a good thing to do.

Lani, your meal you are preparing sounds friggin' AWESOME!!!! Every time I go to the grocery store and manage to eek out some really good purchases on good cuts of meat, etc., I think back to how much money I spent on drink/drugs, and how good it is to splurge of FOOD these days!!!

Post your stuffed mushroom recipe, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And BTW all, looks like I can't just stay in pj's all day, after all. Drat. My aunt dug up some Hostas from her own flower bed for me to transplant here, so I had better get moving. So much for my "plans", as usual. :o)

P.S. mnstar.....

We used to have a yearly sleep-over at my sponsor's. All adult women in pj's, about 6 or 7 of us, watching movies, sharing, painting our nails, just like little girls. It was always a blast and I wish we would do it again. Or I could send my hubby to the hotel and have my own! Great idea!!

Plans changed..... again!! LMAO.... no pans today, right? Got the extra bag of mulch I needed loaded into the car, and caught in a rain storm... loved it!! Think I will get to some chores..... and let God (and the weather) continue to dictate today. It is fun and surprising that way

I wish! Right now I've got soooooo much to do in the new house, and finish getting the house I just moved out of ready for the renters.... I worked 14 hours yesterday, no lunch and had dinner at the AA club. Pretty cool, I just stopped by to see it maybe a few would like to go across the street for Italian (which they did). When I went into the club, they were having "Open mic night" and individuals and groups had signed up to play. Very cool. The
"Straight Jackets" played wild thing and whole lotta love!

My current favorite bumper sticker is "They say that God put us here for a reason, right now I am so far behind that I will never die!"

Im laughing my butt off at you crazies!!!!!!

Dean, my hubby would love your bumper sticker. He's crazed now with all the little (BIG) projects we have brewing in our alkly brains! He keeps saying, "Im overwhelmed" and I laugh!!!! We need this and that and oh yea that needs to be done!!!! One project at a time I tell him. In Gods time and easy does it!!! Then he laughs! Its funny how your priority changes the longer youre sober! The big ass deck we just had to build would have sided our house and bought us new windows!!!! But nooooo, we needed the ultimate party deck that the whole friggin neighborhood could sit on!!!!

The bright side, weve been here 12 yearsish, and we will just start with one room at a time and it will get done, eventually! At least today we care. We repainted, carpeted, new furniture and all that back then when we refinished our brady bunch interor looking house and its just time to update it again....No biggy. We can live with what we have today as it really isnt that bad....Its just our perfectionism blasting out of us in a new way!!!!!!

Gee, Joni!!!! I'm glad someone can take a day off! j/k rofl.gif I ended up having to mow the lawn!!! UGH! BUT, the weather here today was gorgeous, I missed the beach (and my John) but it was nice doing a bit of yard work & preparing my mind to return to work on Tuesday BIGGER UGH! :)

Oh my god, how did they get the video camera on my deck with me and the neighbors in disguise!!!! That sounds like a typical night of us sitting around back in the day.....For hours talking like that!!!! Uranus was even featured on there!!!!!!!!
