Had a WONDERFUL time at Bike Week. The weather was a bit cool the first couple of days, but it warmed up nicely by Wednesday. Did a LOT of riding and a TON of eating (I'm sure I gained 10lbs). We ate twice at my favorite hole n the wall "River City Cafe'" - they've got burgers the size of your head and onion rings you could hang around your neck. MMMM MMM good!

John was awesome the whole week. He was very mindful of his drinking around me (which I've never seen him drink more than 5 beers in a whole day anyway), considered me the whole time and always asked if I minded if he had a beer. He kept no alcohol in the condo and a small cooler for himself in the back of the truck.  I didn't struggle once the whole week. :)

All in all it was a wonderful 8 days. But I find I'm a bit sad that I am again alone. It's hard spending that amount of time with someone you love and then coming back to a empty house.......

Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do here........

Hi Jen,

I'm so glad that you had a good week. It sounds terrific.

Yes, it is hard spending so much time with the man you love and then to have the house empty again. My boyfriend will soon be heading off again and I'll miss him like crazy when he goes. But, with the help of AA and catching up on this board it is just about bearable!

Take good care of yourself, won't you?

Carol
