Child of Mine Oh, little child of mine I finally know you're here and I want you to know that I am learning to care I care that you were hurt deep wounds to soul and heart and I in ignorant blindness kept myself so set apart I didn't want to hear your rage from all the pain you've had I didn't know to reach for you to love you even if you're bad But I'm coming to a place that your fear and pain I feel I know with my love for you heart and soul; we both can heal It's okay for you to scream to rant and moan and cry I will love and hold you as pain's storm rages by For years you've fought for life for yours as well as mine years, too, I turned away from you left you and our pain far behind No more do you face this world so small, scared and all alone we will walk together now your solitary fight is done It's our time to feel this love it's a gift for just us two so reach out, take my hand I'm now reaching back for you by Beverly V.
