I , for one, am having a terribly hard time.    Even with the tips...  it seems like everything that could sabotage my holiday is happening.  I even tried drinking, and only got maudlin. I am out of commission for now.

I realize now, after some rest, that I had H.A.L.T. and ignored it and pushed on till I hit the wall.

Please remember to balance this weekend. Pace yourself. Know when enough is too much, and how to just say no with love if you get overwhelmed.  I had a lot of good things scheduled, but even with the good things we can get H.A.L.T and have to take a break.  Better to take a nap, or a snack, or a break,  than a drink.

love in recovery,

amanda

Well, I got up for evening services...  I am cutting my schedule down...  I don't feel too terrific, but I decided that's okay. I can just accept that this is not my most pleasant Christmas so far,,,  and take my steps through it.  I sang in the choir and was glad other people enjoyed it. I am glad for the miracles in myh life that are because of God's mercy through Jesus, and I don't have to feel giddy or all excited, let along sloppy drunk.

Good night all,

Merry Christmas

good night Stan...  you may not be Christian and that is alright,,,   we all have different understandings of our Higher Power,
