I just got home from an AA meeting a little while ago, it was a good one. We talked about being powerless over alcohol. Taking that first step. We also talked about a man who had been in our group for about 2 years who died this week, he was 54 years old. He had been sober a little over 2 years and he had worked the program, his last years were sober, his last day was sober. We had that moment of silence at the end of the meeting and it was hard to think about him not being with us any longer.Tomorrow a group of us will go to pay our last respects, that will be hard, but I will be able to do it, and do it sober. That's what the program of AA has given me, being able to live life on lifes terms.
I pray you all have a peaceful night and a bright tomorrow.
