I am a grateful alcoholic. Early in my recovery my HP gave me a therapist who was truly a "gift from above." She understood the power of the 12 steps and kept drilling it into my head that sobriety could never last without a strong foundation with the first three steps. And through almost a year of seeing her there was only one thing I was told to memorize - the third step prayer.

The last couple of years I've been doing a "review" of the steps on my site and once again came to the third step. I decided that I'd try and make a video of it. I don't think I did it justice - but I tried.

For me, it is the most powerful prayer in recovery.
