For children, Valentine's Day means candy hearts, silly cards, and excitement in the air.
How different Valentine's Day can be for us as adults. The Love Day can be a symbol that we have not yet gotten love to work for us as we would like.
Or it can be a symbol of something different, something better. We are in recovery now. We have begun the healing process. Our most painful relationships, we have learned, have assisted us on the journey to healing, even if they did little more than point out our own issues or show us what we don't want in our life.
We have started the journey of learning to love ourselves. We have started the process of opening our heart to love, real love that flows from us, to others, and back again. Do something loving for yourself. Do something loving and fun for your friends, for your children, or for anyone you choose.
It is the Love Day. Wherever we are in our healing process, we can have as much fun with it as we choose. Whatever our circumstances, we can be grateful that our heart is opening to love.
I will open myself to the love available to me from people, the Universe, and my Higher Power today. I will allow myself to give and receive the love I want today. I am grateful that my heart is healing, that I am learning to love.

Had a great day today! My dad picked me up, went to the Art Museum, out to lunch then to see my grandpa. He's got Alzheimers/parkinson's and is now in the care of Hospice. Looks peaceful. Lots of family members there visiting. My poor Grandma is home sick. Went to see her and she's a mess. Wants to be with her hubby Soooo bad but is so ill. Reminded me of Phil's story about Alzheimers. Grandpa's been sick four years and my grandma goes twice a day to be with him. He hasnt talked in all that time. Today she said "I know he's going fast but I didnt think it would be this soon. I figured he;d been at least 90!"
She's so sad it breaks my heart. My dad and I were talking about how we wouldnt want to live that way. But for Grandma, she's been with him all her life and just doesnt want to let him go.
Pray that he waits until she can be with him to go. It would kill her if she wasnt there. Kissed him and told him to "go to the light!"
My husband gave me the most beautiful valentines card today. Get done reading it and its a birthday card!!!!! He wrote that he "just" noticed it was one when he signed it! I laughed sooo hard!
So, today for me, it was a day filled with love! Love for family, spending time together and making new memories and remembering the old ones!!! Thanks, Lani

I made my best to share in Love today. My mobile's been on go slow cuz of a chocka memory for months. Got a new one just in time for the BigLoveDay lol Sent out a BigShout to Everybody in my phonebook & got over 40 txts back! Getting what you give! Made my Day truly & really helped me feel connected all over again. So good to reach out & receive warmth :) Of 'all' my talents (!) I enjoy a particularly unique presence textstyle. A small thing but one I'm really grateful for & proud of.. May not have a v.practical mind but's nice to feel I have my charms lol Their love returned was of course a reflection of their own special joys. A BigShout out to all my friends & fellows here too!
