"Your journey has molded you for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don't think that you've lost time. There is no short-cutting to life. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time."

-- Asha Tyson

No regrets. As we become more aware, we begin to realize that theres a purpose to everything that happens. This builds our trust, and supports us in being willing to be more open and daring to really experience life as it unfolds.

If we pay attention to whats happening in each moment, we will discover that life continually brings us opportunities to heal our past wounds. When a painful memory surfaces, we can take the time to feel it fully, give compassion to ourselves and any others and allow the energy to release. As we deal with the past in this way IN THE PRESENT, we free ourselves to more fully connect with life.

"The next message you need is right where you are."

-- Ram Dass

That's why sports cars and motorcycles have such small mirrors.  At 200 mph, who cares what's going on behind you.  Guess what?  We're all traveling at 1000 mph all day everyday and that's only countng  the rotation of the earth, not the orbit around the sun or our solar system triping around the galaxy or galaxy around the universe.  Even if you don't leave the house today, you've never been here before and you'll never be where you were yesterday and you're millions of miles away from where you were last year so what's to let go of?  It's long gone.  For a very short time, you are just an amazing collection of space dust.  Enjoy it while it lasts wink

Makes so much sense doesn't it. Yesterday I went to my Psychologist and was told basically the same thing. He calls it being Present Centered. When presented or triggered into an emotion, we automatically attach a past and a future to it (prediction). These are a waste of energy as we can't change the past and the future isn't even here yet. I must therefore take a breath, FEEL the emotion, tolerate it momentarily, then I can make a conscious choice about how to handle it. This takes me off of my usual "autopilot" method of solving the issue with an all too predictable, likely bad way. Lots of work to do here with that one,lol
