I met with John- the founder of the Miracles in Progress groups when stateside in 2014.
We talked for an hour or so- near the sea, and I heard his story.
One time he had taken the podium with the well known speaker Bob E.
Bob was working towards a theme like "XA".
A combined approach to recovery....
...and John F. was not far behind.
Me?
I am from far far away- from New Zealand.
Mostly a member of ACA and Alanon.
I was inspired by the AA clubhouses in the USA.Attended them in Florida, Atlanta, and in Rapid City in SD.
Hmmm... also attended an AA clubhouse in Texas one time.
For an ACA meeting.
These MIP groups, these days are like a clubhouse that has fallen down and is in disrepair.
These groups were attacked, from within, by people in recovery who who got into trolling activity.
So- if this is an AA clubhouse now- it is a ruin.
Where Alanon and ACA groups do meet- but with broken windows and by candle light. ...
