Seems like forever!!!!

Hello,

I made a quick look to see who was still posting. Sure was nice to see your names again. I dont want to mention any names...just in case I forget someone.

Its only been since the last of September since I been here...yet it seems like forever!!!

I thought I would out-smart my drinking problem...just give it a shot and see if I could handle the alchol "for just a little bit".

Day after Thanksgiving was to be my "Quit Day". Didnt happen that way...could not make myself stop.

I've been 3 days sober now. Its amazing what 2 months of drinking can do to your "spirit".

I went from not having enough time in the day to dreading each morning.

I went from caring about my animals to...considering them a royal pain in the ass.

I went from having a clean house ...to an un-organized mess.

I went from talking with my family on the phone back home to ...isolation.

I was becoming addicted to this website to...once again addicted to alchol.

The hole I've been feeling in my soul just isnt worth it.

Trying to bury my problems by drinking has only made them worse.

November 29th 2004 I had my heart surgery. As one of the doctors were preparing to do surgery he said "We got to you just in time"..."you are about ready to get a $40,000 heart" That was a year ago today. Its kinda scary to realize all this as I am writing down my feelings. Its actually a perfect day to be back in touch.

Even though we have all never meet personally, I feel a connection...and need you all to help me durning this journey back to soberity.

Welcome home NancyJo, I'm so glad to learn the snakes haven't got ya. You were in my prayers. You are worth the effort it takes to stay sober, please keep posting. We are all here for you !

Glad to see you back*** It's good to get back on here myself. No drinking here, just been busy. HOPE THE REST OF THE GANG HERE IS ALL DOING OK. I know the feeling nancy** The last time I got back after a short field trip. THE PREVIOUS TRIP LASTED 7 YEARS. god i'm so lucky to get back and so are u. HANG IN THERE Girl!! The old alcohol ways don't take long to come back. STINKING THINKIN eh!!
