When someone loves you, it helps you to feel good about yourself. Noone has the right, to verbally abuse you, and make you feel bad, or confused.
When someone loves you.. you feel valued, respected, and free to be yourself. You shouldnt be made to feel intimidated.
You have the right to have your own feelings and opinions...and the right to be able to express them freely, without being judged or criticized.
You dont have to match up to anyone elses standards except your own.
When you respect your partner, in a relationship... respect must be returned
No matter what you do...you do not deserve abuse...in any form.

Morning Doll. We go through situations in our lives, that we can beat ourselves up over.
We recovering alcoholics are good at that.
We beat ourselves into the ground trying to make a bad situation, into a good one.
We look at the positive parts--instead of the negative parts--and deny that the negative parts exsist.
We clean up our side of the street, and wonder why the hurricane is still there, and its raining like "H"
Starting to realize that when theres a hurricane...its better to avoid it and maybe take shelter, somewhere else.
I think its called "Detatch, and Let Go and Let God"
Havent been sharing much...personally ..on the board lately..have had to do some real inventories...and then..it was a matter of getting honest..and looking at a few things that were real...and not real.
Its been an emotional roller coaster.
And I guess after doing all that...it was a matter of accepting..that ..some things are not about me...they are someone elses stuff...and theres not a thing one can do about that. I am only responsible, for my side of the street.
Was in a situation, where I did my best...honestly. Allowed myself to be knocked into the ground...and yes...verbal abuse, was a part of it.
Had to let it all go. Another learning experience. Have a good day.

AMEN!!! phil, i am soooo XTRA sensitive to abuse/abusers...it was ABUSE that caused me to abuse alcohol to run away....it was abuse that messed me up...i thank God for the 12Steps programs that are getting me on the road to healing......... there is NO excuse for abuse...NONE at all!!! i don't do it...and i don't allow it near me............my barometer for is a person a keeper or dumper......i ask........."do they make me feel good about being me???? do their actions match their words???? are they there for me most of the time?????? do they respect my boundaries?????? and do i feel "nourished" being around them??????" the price of admission to my heart has gone up, but is still affordable to the " healthy for me" spirits........hugs/ rosie
