Hey guys, I'm going to visit my husband who is still here in jail this afternoon. I am not looking forward to it, the letters I've recieved lately have been full of anger, depression, blame...
He was suppose to be in a state rehab facility by now but the one in Houston was damaged by Hurrican Rita, soooooo it may be months before he is sent. He is saying things like he is going to tell them he just wants to serve his 10 year prison sentence, asking me what he should do? I have no answers for him, I know that whatever I say will just cause an argument, so I tell him I'm praying and God will have to show him. I send him addresses of people he ask me to talk to, so he can write them himself.
Please remember us today in your thoughts and prayers. He is a wonderful man, he is one who has just not completely surrendered his will to a Higher Power, he is one who still feels he is in control, he is one who can't or won't live life one day at a time on lifes terms. I have watched alcohol steal his health , his youth, his pride and his family. I still love him, but I know everything I do at this point is for me, not really for him.
I'm grateful he is still alive, I will not give up 5 minutes before the miracle !

Gammy, I offer my heartfelt prayers for you and for your husband. I have been in a brush with the law that could easily have placed me in the same position as he is facing. I hope that both you and he will find peace beyond this trial you are facing.
