I have been in AA for two years. I quit going to meetings about a year ago. I felt like I was bored and joining a cult or something.I kept in contact with God and was doing great ,at least I thought. Gosh, was I wrong ! About a 6 wks. ago I got a bottle and I didn't stop for 3wks.I got in a fight with my daughter, she is in her 20's and has two children, got a PI, spent the night in jail AND trashed my car.I got caught tring to sneek a bottle in the house by my fiancee,(He hates alcohol),and I went through withdraws BIG.I still have to go to court yet another time.
I made a REAL BIG MESS of (not just my life) ,my families lives.
Now that I can finally focus. I thought I could share this ugly experince. I'm scared to call my sponcer again,I hung up on her when she told me she I was drinking before that. I honestly wasn't. When I called her I was. Dang, I need help!
I know I have to humble myself and get my butt back to meetings. Even though my guy and my 11 yr. old son has forgiven me,-My daughter is a diff. story-I still feel like a big fool and very disappointed in myself. Do you think I'm rolling in a big case of the " Me,Me,Me's"?
feeling naked-striped & empty right now,

Hey Boom:) Some of us just hafta go through, what we hafta go through--before we fully accept--and then some of us slacken off-and do it our way-and everything gets good-and the monkey on the shoulder says "go ahead--pick it up" and away we go again.
All learning, and hard experiences of getting humble, and then having to do things the AA way.
Been there, as a lot of us have.
Dont kick your butt over it all, all freind. One day at a time--not picking up a drink-going to meetings etc. Youll get through it, and itll be ok.
A few prices to pay, and a few consequences--but you know the routine.:)
One day at a time.
You havent lost all your support. Thats a biggy. The rest takes time.
We are here to share and care with you also.
Welcome back to the AA way. Try not to worry--easy does it. Keep it simple. One thing at a time. Keep looking up. Coulda been a hell of a lot worse hu?(smile)
Share with us--vent-do what you gotta do for you.
I was a hard learner. Still am some days. Youre not alone. Lotta great people on this site. We are all in the same boat. Hop in and grab an oar.:)

Hey there,
Call the sponsor. If you weren't ready before than you are now. Tell her that. She'll help. Start at the beginning and let the miracles happen.
Love, cheri

The only thing this old girl knows how to do when I fall; Pick myself up, dust myself off and start again. There's No shame in that.
Call your sponsor. Tell them everything. It gets better.
You're in my thoughts
