Well, I blew it! Had 2 beers yesterday! 34 days, down the shit hole!
yesterday started great. I was off work, so ran some errands, then my guy picked me at noon for a day at the lake. On the way there he informs me he packed beer in the cooler, along with water, cola's, etc. I had not told him yet! I just smiled. The day went great for the most part, we swam, talked alot, we're still getting to know each other, we've only been dating for a few months. My mind only went to that beer once or twice thru the whole day. Then when it was time to start the grill, he opened the cooler and grabbed a diet cola, he doesn't drink - he's diabetic - and I grabbed a beer. Swallowed it pretty fast, and it was gooooddd. So, I had another with dinner. I didn't like the way I was beginning to feel in my mind. So, just 2!
I pushed the thoughts away for the rest of the evening. But didn't sleep last night. So, I got up this morning and called him and told him I'm an alcoholic. He's very understanding and supports me all the way......
So, I will be at a meeting tonight, and will pick up another "surrender" chip and begin my journey again.......
Thanks for the Private messages, it was those that made me go ahead and post this.
I love you all.

"op", Thanks for the honesty, and I guess it was finally the right time to share the truth with the boyfriend. Meetings and a desire to stop drinking; Steps one, two, three...
We stumble--we fall-we bump head. We get up-dust ourselves off-we learn from it--we forgive ourselves-and truck on.
Keep Smilin!!

well what is in the past is in the past you cant chane it all you can do is learn what not to do again.
glad you are back so soon others stay out for a long while over things like this so that's good.
just take it one day at a time and get to meetings and alot of them if you can and use a sponsor...not just talk...get on the steps this is where recovery is managed and the basis of a good foundation.
hang in there and take suggestions and it will work if you work it. that is a fact.
