Nope Buddy. We cant do it alone, and we dont hafta. Last time I picked up, it took me 5 years to get back here, and lost everything there was to loose while doing it.

I cant do it on my own--used to think I could. Damned pride and ego. Had to be knocked into the ground before surrendering again.

Quit going to meetings, and the monkey on my shoulder said---yaaaa go ahead. Shit!!

I hurt over crap too Rick. And youre right. We heal.

I could share my last 24 hours with you but I wont. Had every excuse in the book to pick up a drink and say screw it all.

Others laying their shit on me. ---Im not their doormat, and Im not going to be any more.

Another day buddy-another day. It will get better.

My dad sober 33 years ( dead now)  Said    What life  do u want?????? The sober or drunk one????

God Buddy!!  Ohhh welll-I cant talk.:) I used to share it with my dog and then watch him jump on the couch--he used to miss it by 2 feet.

Hey Rick, I'm praying for you friend. It will be okay, you know all the years of sobriety are wonderful, but the only day that really matters is today. You can start the day over anytime you want, then your day of  sobriety will start. We are here for you , always have been , always will be.Hang in there, one day at a time.

what we did yesterday doesnt' matter today, only God knows what will happen tomorrow,
