Guilt is a feeling of being responsible for negative circumstances that have befallen yourself or others.

The full post didnt go on. Just going through some guilt and remorse. Ive found that forgiving oneself for yesterdays is sometimes one of the hardest things to do, and Im going through some of that right now.
I guess the most simple saying I can think of is' "To err is human-to forgive is divine."
Forgiveness is the key which unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuff of hatred. It breaks the chain of bitterness, and the shackles of selfishness.
Genuine forgiveness does not deny anger, but faces it head on.
By far the strongest poison to the human spirit, is the inability to forgive oneself, or another person. Forgiveness is no longer an option, but a necessity for healing.

guilt is a by product of doing something you shouldn't have. and knowing this when you do it.
doing the next right thing is the preventitive measure for this.
however, taking responsibility for things that you had no idea about and feeling guilty because you allowed it to become your problem is a waste of time.
hope everyone is doing well and have a good one

Thanks Ellen. I can have all the negative emotions I wish to, but the bottom line is, I cant change whats happened, or what was said, or anything else for that matter. I must forgive myself, and move forward. What others do is up to them.
All I can do is take care of me, and let God take care of the rest.
The easier softer ways are always to go backwards, or just give up, or pick up a drink, and die.
Lets plug on God, and see where you take me--Ile follow.

Hi Phil,
the first thing that comes to mind is...gotta go through it, can't stuff it. Feel the feelings then let them go. Give it all to Him. Treat yourself like your best friend, would you beat up your best friend??
Be nice to yourself today Phil, and smile...even if you don't feel like it. Do some mirror work and tell yourself:
Phil is beautiful
Phil is precious
Phil is worthwhile
Phil, I love you Phil, I forgive you.
You are worth the fight, this world wouldn't be the same without you!
I have faith in you, so does your HP, isn't it time to have some faith in yourself?
hugs, Wendy
