I am a recovering alcoholic and am 2 months into an intensive outpatient recovery program. I'm just coming off from a protracted relapse. As is not uncommon with many of us, I haven't been mindful of my finances while I was drinking. I've got BIG tax problems and a fair bit of debt to pay down. I was wondering if anyone knew of any organizations/individuals that are sympathetic to the recovering alcoholic? There are plenty of non-profit credit counseling services, but I really wanted to align myself with an organization that helps alcoholics specifically. And credit counseling services aren't going to do me much good with the IRS. Any help appreciated.
Thanks!
