Phil , I want to say thank you for all the encouragement you give me in this situation with my husband , and if I thought it would help I'd sent for each and everyone of you to help , but I think, your prayers will help just as much. So thanks to all who will pray for my husband and me.
And I am smiling today. This comes from someone who didn't smile much from the time I was 9 years old till around 25yrs old. My 4th grade teacher who happened to be a male. would tease me and a boy who at dimples , and say things like "when you two growup, you should marry each other and have lots of dimpled children." I guess being the future controlling alcoholic that I was I just thought I don't like that kind of attention, so I will show him. I didn't smile for that school year and it just became easier not to smile.I was also very shy and afraid of everyone and everything.
So today I look back on that and think how sad, but the program of AA helped me deal with alot of that insanity and I can smile today and I can be happy, I can laugh and cry and know when each is the right thing to do .
I am smiling today because of all the good stuff on here today. So thank you all. I pray we all have a serene sober day, even when things might not be looking their best .
Keep it simple and remember it's a one day, one minute at a time deal.

Hey Gal? Its rough watchin it, but its a hell of a lot rougher being in it.
And thank God for Alanon. Keeps one from climbing over the fence and sitting in others poo piles.

You have dimples? How fortunate! I have a male cousin who has dimples,, and I think dimples are very great, and I always wanted dimples, but I don't have them. If I had dimples I would try to smile a lot. I stopped smiling cuz I had braces and when I smiled the inside of my lips would scrape across the rough metal and it would hurt. Same effect.. I got used to not smiling. See? Look at my avatar pic,,,, it really does look much like me.
