..Yes, there is a substitute and it is vastly more than that. It is a fellowship in Alcoholics Anonymous. There you will find release from care, boredom, and worry. You're imagination will be fired. Life will mean something at last. The most satisfactory years of your existence lie ahead. Thus we find the fellowship, and so will you.
Alcoholics Anonymous pp 152
I am feeling overwhellmingly grateful today, for all that this board has done for me. I love you all very much.
Love, cheri

And WE love you too Cheri.:) And as each day goes by, if we look at all the positives instead of the negatives--it equals "Being Grateful" --- and just being us--I think they call it "Acceptance" (smile)
You have a great day, and many more to come!!

Yeah, this board got me through a rough patch. I never realised how much it meant to me until I had trouble getting on for a few days. It has brought me to a better understanding of myself in relation to the program. I am more a writer than a talker and I can actually hear what I write than when I speak...something to do with anxiety.
I am so glad that you are feeling the program, I think that once you fell the program and what it can do for you, you'll fight even harder to stay sober and learn more. If that makes any sense. Everyday is more peaceful and things get more intuitive. It just gets more simple, even when the s*^$ hits the fan.
Glad you are doing well, have a blessed day and I love you too!

This goes with the post of the other day about that we are learning how to care about others.
