When ever bad feelings prevail.
Don't let them shadow and take control of your life
or you will end up living that feeling which will cause
you to fail, lead you to resentments, self-pity, remorse,
self-centeredness, giving up and ultimately emotional imbalance.
Use the facts as they are and look for the good in those
facts. Use the good to remove the bad feelings that blind
and prevent you from seeing the truth instead of the feeling------------------------------
THE FOUR ABSOLUTES
ABSOLUTE HONESTY: Both with
ourselves and with others, in
word, deed and thought.
ABSOLUTE UNSELFISHNESS:
To be willing wherever
possible to help others who
need our help.
ABSOLUTE LOVE: "Thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind.
And . . . Thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself."
ABSOLUTE PURITY: Purity of
mind, of body and of purpose----------------------------------
LIFES TERM'S PRAYER
Dear God.
Please help me to
accept the way things
are, and to look for
the good in any
situation i face
in life.

Yes, facts and feelings, very interesting....and always in conflict in me, the ambiguous one.
Anyway, have done a lot of reading in Alanon. Feelings are feelings, just that, not facts. We run around trying to figure out the truth from the illusions, etc. AND then....I did some readings in a Hazelden reader and at the tale end of the daily reading it said: Feelings are Facts. Hmmm. [In context, here it meant our feelings are telling us something or some truth].
So when it comes to this Facts vs. Feelings stuff, my vote is still out. I have a tendency to believe our feelings are telling us the truth when we are Listening to them and we are in pretty good emotional health.
