Dating sober is at the same time the most wonderful experience inamginable and completely terrifying.
I'm convinced much of the time I'm going to screw this up eventually
incredibly afraid to open up to this woman.
I'm fighting desperately my long time tendancy toward codependance
On the other hand
The fact that someone as pretty and smart as she is is interested in me has been an amazing boost to my self image.
since i'm not as self absorbed and am mostly winning my war against codependance i'm enjoying true romance for the first time in my life.
dating doesn't have to be one big party like when i was younger and drinking the best date so far has been walking in the park and talking.
wow i feel better having shared that and I'll pop in more often take care all

"easy does it", "one day at a time" , and "there are no big deals" apply to relationships as much or more than anything else. Try not to obsess. It was a walk in the park, nothing magical or mystical, just a walk in the park. Hardly anything to get married over.

I actually had a very serious dancing problem- the drinking was obviously a side-affect.

Now that's funny. That was the first thing that I thought when I read the title of this post.
Good for you Bryan, and I wish you the best!

Hey Brian,
one thing that my wise old sponsor told me, was to treat women, that I was dating, like one of my guy friends. No better, no worse, same expectations.
Example he gave was if one of your guy friends was to meet you somewhere on friday night, didn't show and didn't call, what would you do? Now if the woman that you were dating did the same, what would you do? The answer should be the same- "wtf- why didn't you call? Respcet my time or find someone else to play with." Same goes for favors, gifts, money etc...

Hey Bryan! It's kinda cool that you have this particular "problem" huh?!
Phil, your post reminded of an episode of Seinfeld - "Elaine's dancing" - anyone see that? That's probably what I looked like drunk and would be even worse sober - LOL - guess that's a first I haven't done yet.....

The term "buy a wife" has become popular in the media and describes men who want to find a wife in a foreign country. But while the concept of buying a wife does exist, it is not the same as marrying a woman in your own country. While you can use an agency to find a potential wife, there are also plenty of ways to find a woman on your own. Listed below are some ways to buy a wife online.
