There's something special about em, I'd have to say..
The blokes with the cabbage head, and the turnip truck
Who pop up into my life and encourage me
no matter whether life is cruising, or I'm feeling stuck...
(I love that)
And those inspring types with the courage to sell tupperware helicopters,
and laugh at mad cyclists in the street - just because they can.
Then take the time to come here and remind us, to have a great day,
Before taking their place in the cheer squad, and grooving with the band.
(Love that too)
I also love the way it's never mattered where we come from,
or how we pay for our bread and soap,
We are learning to laugh again, just standing together
adding our dash of spirit to the inter- contintental cocktail of hope.
(I really love that)
I really dig the lovehearts that Amanda sprinkles around too,
And the patience and strength that Gammy always shows
DW likes to giggle and share her courageous laugh
And my respect for John's 12th step work continues to grow.
(Gotta love that)
It's a wonderful big melting pot into which we all willingly leap
It's an individual journey - designed just for our crowd
Of misfits: the willing, the able, the weak and the strong
The trying, the tried, the shy and the loud.
(The loved)
An odd kind of family, linked stronger than blood.
For the power that pumps through the veins of this lot
Can only be understood by those who have known
What it's like to look down the gun barrell...and wait for the shot.
(Loved that)
And by the grace of change - in our own understanding,
We stepped free... or were lifted.
Learned to stand and to walk, and to look in the mirror,
And eventually admit... that something inside us had just possibly shifted.
(Love)
It is here we slowly get to know, and share, ourselves,
And admit where we've tried, and come short
And practice amends making and tease out some courage
And re-learn some of the dumb things we were taught.
(Be lovable).
So, to all those who have climbed a"board"
The "Spirit of Progressive Miracles" - enroute to reality,
I hope you enjoy your journey and am very glad that you're here.
I wish you peace, success, happiness, laughter and especially, clarity.
(With love )

(guess what the word 'amanda' means... it is from the Spanish word "loving") Your poem is so right that that is what we are learning - what real Love is, God's Love,,,, to share it, we receive it from God, and share it with others.
